Johnson County Mental Health Center Transportation Services Team is looking to fill the position of Transportation Services Coordinator. This position will be assigned to work Monday - Friday 1:30 pm - 10:30 pm. The transportation services team employs clients to serve as drivers who provide rides to mental health clients, helping them get to work, school and medical appointments. The program is in operation 5:30am - 10:30pm year-round excluding Thanksgiving & Christmas Day with the goal of helping clients successfully maintain school and work commitments to ultimately achieve independence. First review of applications will be April 14. Job Description Duties Include:
Coordinates Mental Health Services transportation services by assigning daily rides and tasks, arranging outside transportation when needed, resolving routine transportation issues, developing or adjusting routes to accommodate current needs, filling in as a driver as needed, and tracking transportation data.
Job Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent; one (1) year of driver experience as chauffeur or transporting customer, delivery service, dispatching, customer service, or relevant experience; and valid driver's license with acceptable driving record are required. One (1) year of experience in community mental health setting serving the seriously and persistently mentally ill population preferred.
