Work from home opportunities may be available after initial training period. Essential Responsibilities
- Installs, updates and supports all network devices (including servers, workstations, printers, telephones, network components, multi-function copiers and fax machines).
- Identifies, evaluates, and successfully implements hardware and software solutions.
- Troubleshoots network, hardware and software issues and serves as first level internal escalation for issues received, to help address and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Coordinates and escalates issues effectively with appropriate IT staff or third party vendor assistance for problem resolution.
- Installs, configures, upgrades, migrates and supports workstation software (including Windows and Microsoft Office) for organizational workstation users.
- Manages workstations and Users in an Active Directory environment (joining workstations to the domain, creating user profiles, etc.).
- Assists in Desktop, Laptop, Mobile and software setup and deployment tasks.
- Responds proactively to incoming calls to the Service Desk via software, telephone and e-mail to ensure courteous, timely and effective resolution of end user issues.
- Strives to meet or exceed UBB's IT Service Level Objectives for problem response and resolution timeframes.
- Conducts systems management tasks, such as creating and maintaining current system images.
- Identifies problem areas and helps devise and deliver solutions to enhance quality of service and prevent future problems.
- Assumes responsibility for primary technical expertise on assigned systems and provides escalation support for those systems as UBB's subject matter expert (SME).
- Tracks hardware/software and inventory/assets.
- Monitors and manages printer supplies (orders items from vendor, troubleshoots, repairs, etc.).
- Acts as secondary contact for Systems Administrator activities.
- Performs system administration functions for companywide e-mail and phone systems.
- At the request of Operations or Consulting Services, assist them in providing technical support to UBB's outside clients.
- Assists in coordinating security related activities with the Security Officer (reporting non-compliant emails, managing access cards).
- Provides technical mentoring and on-the-job training for other Desktop Administration staff.
- Recommends and helps develop and implement end user training to increase computer literacy and self-sufficiency.
- Develops documentation for supported systems.
- Participates in Tier I after hours on-call rotation as scheduled.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Three or more years Microsoft technologies (OS, Active Directory, network, internet, office) administration and support experience
- Associate degree in MIS or related field preferred
- Industry Standard technical certifications preferred, and the commitment to keep certifications current
- Excellent professional customer service skills, including phone support skills, interpersonal communication skills and written communications
- Broad working knowledge of a wide range of IT systems, including networking, servers, various brands of computers and cell phones
- Highly developed time management skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities to meet operational timeframes
- Proven ability to work independently, and to exercise initiative and independent judgment in technical efforts
- Ability to manage multiple steps and phases of a project, from initiation to completion, with minimal direct supervision

- $50 - $27.50 hourly; depending on education, qualifications, experience
- Annual bonus target: 6% of annual pay dependent on company and personal performance
