Job Description

Opportunity at a Glance

Adtalem Global Education is looking for a motivated communications professional to drive the communications strategy for its enterprise transformation initiative and other strategic corporate initiatives as they evolve. With transformation as a strategic business priority, reporting to the senior manager, strategy and reputation, this position will play a key role in developing communications plans and guidance for cross-functional project teams and leaders to ensure employees are aware of transformation efforts and recognize the value and benefit they bring to the organization, our students and partners. This position will be responsible for telling our growth story across the company and will partner closely with the larger Global Communications team to align messaging and leverage corporate and brand channels to create a unified story.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in implementing transformational change.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a communication strategy in support of our enterprise transformation journey.
  • Support transformation narrative and key messages and ensure consistency.
  • Utilize existing communication channels to tell the transformation story and ensure transformation initiatives are regularly communicated across key internal stakeholder groups.
  • Work with project team and segment leaders to maintain awareness of high-impact initiatives, critical needs and priority areas, and develop communications strategies to address them.
  • Manage and develop team members to support transformation communications efforts.
  • Provide strategic communications support for priority transformation initiatives, working with the segment or project owner to execute change management plans and recommend areas of focus.
  • Develop ways to gather employee feedback to measure if transformation efforts are taking hold and make recommendations, as needed, to change mindset.
  • Manage ongoing reporting and analysis of measurable deliverables.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, PR, journalism or a related fieldwith minimum 5-7 years of related experience. Related experience in organizational transformation, corporate communications or internal communications preferred.
  • Natural storyteller with excellent writing and editing skills; able to easily distill messages into believable, actionable contentthat is compelling and engages audiences
  • Strong knowledge of corporate brand development and messaging.
  • Passion for and experience guiding large, complex organizations through change.
  • Curiosity for continually learning new skills and knowledge, even when their application to the work at hand is not always immediately clear.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Demonstrated executive presence, ability and ease working with senior leaders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and agencies.
  • Skill for managing multiple, high-urgency projects simultaneously; flexibility is essential.
  • High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation.
  • Strong project management and organizational capabilities.
  • Prior people management experience preferred.
Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $70,696 and $124,230. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
