Job Description Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Authentically projects and reflects the mission of WGU Academy to internal and external stakeholders
- Targets strategic partnerships with right-fit partners, associations, nonprofits, employers, third-party alliances, and academic institutions
- Develops and manages prospect pipeline and prospect pursuit strategy
- Projects a professional presence and delivers sales presentations to potential partner organizations with a high level of sales acumen
- Collaborates all prospecting efforts with appropriate internal and external constituents
- In collaboration with the Director, develops and executes Regional and/or National events in support of partnership pursuit efforts including pre-event efforts to secure partner participation, marketing of the event to appropriate audiences, support the day-of activities and complete follow-up tasks
- Demonstrates thoughtful and appropriate time management in extending the vision, strategies and tactics required for profitable and sustained partner engagement and implementation across all assigned accounts
- Maintains timely, accurate and thorough documentation of all activities, tasks, contacts and account management
- Actively participates in WGU Academy wide strategic planning, organizing, developing work processes, identifying and implementing improvements, and leading organizational impacting projects
- Effectively handles highly complex work initiatives that span regional and/or national footprints
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Serves as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters
- Builds and maintains high impact, long-lasting client relationships
- Develops trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
- Ensures the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
- Clearly communicates the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
- Develops new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
- Forecasts and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
- Prepares reports on account status
- Collaborates with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory
- Assists with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
- Keeps stakeholders and departmental leadership informed of project statuses, including, but not limited to, milestone achievements, toll gate progress, risks, and any issues that may adversely affect the account
- Contributes to or leads projects that help define, launch, and drive strategic partnership initiatives

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or relevant field
- At least 5 years of proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role
- Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
Working Conditions: Travel: 15-20% Position & Application Details
