The Principal IT Data Scientist is a strategic position which drives change by designing and implementing innovative machine learning solutions. These solutions will improve go to market product performance while lowering total cost of ownership, improving quality and delivery, and customer experience using machine learning capabilities in a continuous closed-loop data driven system. This position will leverage expertise in Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and machine learning to design, develop, and deploy scalable data-driven models that solve complex business challenges.This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of delivering high-value insights in a fast-paced environment. This is a technical leadership position which requires a high degree of business and technical knowledge. In this role, you will act as a change agent so effective communication, negotiation and prioritization skills are required. The scope of responsibilities broadly covers data science in manufacturing, quality, service and support. This role is hybrid, requiring onsite work in: Vancouver, B.C.; Dayton, OH; Rochester, NY; OR Minneapolis, MN. Responsibilities: *Design, build, and deploy machine learning models and predictive analytics solutions using Azure Machine Learning, Databricks, and related tools in areas such as complex equipment manufacturing, maintenance, service and support Preferred Knowledge: *Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, including Azure Machine Learning with proven hands-on experience with Databricks for data engineering, machine learning, and big data analytics Education: *College degree required.
