Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and directing the maintenance activities of our manufacturing facility, ensuring optimal equipment performance, and minimizing downtime. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong engineering background, proven experience in managing technical teams, and proficiency in PLC programming.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of maintenance technicians.
    • Schedule and assign maintenance tasks, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
    • Foster a safe and productive work environment.
  • Preventive and Corrective Maintenance:
    • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability.
    • Respond to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
    • Coordinate and manage equipment repairs and replacements.
    • Ensure all work is completed to company standard and aligns with ISO 9001 standards.
  • PLC Programming and Troubleshooting:
    • Program, troubleshoot, and modify PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
    • Diagnose and resolve PLC-related issues to minimize production downtime.
    • Implement PLC-based improvements to enhance equipment performance.
  • Engineering and Technical Expertise:
    • Apply engineering principles to optimize maintenance processes and equipment performance.
    • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
    • Manage and maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
    • Manage spare parts inventory.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
    • Conduct safety inspections and promote a culture of safety awareness.1
    • Ensure all work is completed to company standard.
  • Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with all levels of personal.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance supervisory role within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience managing and leading a team of maintenance technicians.
  • Strong proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting (specify preferred PLC platforms if applicable).
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Strong computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluent in Spanish and English (both written and verbal) is preferred
