MSOE is looking for a Fluid Power Lab Technician with strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn PLC controls and instrumentation. Experience in hydraulics, aviation, or automotive maintenance is highly valued. Location

Located on Milwaukee's South Side, our off-campus laboratory at Chase and Oklahoma Avenues offers a dedicated space for fluid power research and innovation. This location provides easy freeway access, a collaborative environment, and the resources needed to tackle real-world engineering challenges.

Pay

Hourly pay starts at $30/hour based on experience

Schedule


  • Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm
  • No weekends

Summary of duties for a Lab Technician:

  • Collaborate with engineers to support lab projects, system upgrades, and experimental setups.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems and test equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Respond promptly to testing and equipment issues, ensuring minimal disruption to research activities.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following established safety protocols and using appropriate protective equipment and tools.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma plus a technical certificate or 2-year degree in automotive, mechanical, aviation, electronics, or hydraulic system maintenance or repair.
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook programs.
