The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Stock Clerk 2 at the Delaware Valley Veterans' Home. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Stock Clerk 2, you will be responsible for receiving, examining, and recording the receipt of goods and placing those goods in proper storage locations. Your duties will include completing internal orders, ensuring supply levels are maintained, and rotating stock according to usage and expiration date. In this position, you will post incoming and outgoing shipments to perpetual inventory records and maintain monthly usage figures. You can expect to assist in the identification, relocation, and disposal of surplus stock, as well as assist in storing, relocating, and assembling high-volume inventory. Additionally, you will participate in physical inventory counts and maintain clean and orderly storage areas.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience in stockroom, warehouse, or clerical work; and graduation from high school; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be willing and able to work in Philadelphia County, PA.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Willing and able to a full-time schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Experience in stockroom, warehouse, or clerical work
  • Experience in stores control work
  • Experience operating a forklift
  • Experience providing administrative support
  • Experience in purchasing and creating purchase requests in SAP/R3 system or with any other automated purchase (credit) card request system
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite modules

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
