Position Description

Senior Global Product Marketing Manager (QIAGEN LLC):

Coordinate the launch of new as well as upgraded releases of bioinformatics products into the market. Liaise with marketing, product management, and sales teams worldwide on market readiness and continuous optimization. Duties include:

1. Perform market analysis to identify market opportunities and white space for new sales, cross-sells, and upgrades for QIAGEN Digital Insights' bioinformatics portfolio;

2. Consult with researchers to obtain insights into scientists' usage of current bioinformatics products, untapped opportunities, and buyer personas through interviews, surveys, focus groups, and sales data;

3. Develop and help execute launch plans for new products and upgrade releases in collaboration with marketing and product management teams;

4. Ensure sales team is trained on the latest new releases, capabilities, competition, messaging, and applications of our software and database products for scientific research and clinical markets;

5. Create and share supporting sales and customer facing collateral to support the sales cycle of bioinformatics software to research and clinical testing laboratories;

6. Collaborate with marketing team on demand generation programs for messaging and content, and as needed, present or facilitate scientific events;

7. Assess product performance regularly, making recommendations and plans to adjust go-to-market approaches that may include product price, positioning, and training adjustments;

8. Set the pricing and packaging strategies of bioinformatics offerings, including hosting monthly meetings with the pricing committee to assess, review, and approve changes;

9. Monitor the back-office submission and implementation of pricing changes, annual price increases, and correct revenue recognition;

10. Align sales and maintain global price books.

May telecommute from any US location.


Position Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Microbiology, or a closely related field followed by 5 years of post-baccalaureate experience in a bioinformatics scientist-related occupation.

Experience must include the following, which may have been gained concurrently:

1) 3 years of experience running clinical summit or advisory meetings with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs);

2) 3 years of experience creating value message-based video and collaterals for discovery research bioinformatics products, and to deliver messaging and content to support buyers' journey;

3) 3 years of experience articulating messaging in both the written, presentation, and graphical form;

4) 3 years of experience in pricing analysis to make pricing recommendations for bioinformatics products and to create standard pricing model for clinical decision support software and databases;

5) 3 years of experience successfully launching new and existing bioinformatics products, clinical decision support software, and databases, creating launch readiness and back-office pricing, supporting the marketing activities around launches, and revising existing bioinformatics product launch plans to accelerate product growth;

6) 2 years of experience simplifying and distilling messaging into creative presentations, graphics, and videos that resonate with audience;

7) 2 years of experience coaching others to develop presentations and engaging, high-value copy for sales engagement and various marketing channels;

8) 2 years of experience analyzing data, surveys, and customer interviews to optimize messaging and collateral;

9) 2 years of experience with secondary and tertiary NGS data analysis, interpretation, and reporting;

10) 1 year of experience successfully launching clinical decision support software within regulatory approval process.
