Description

Support critical space operations as a Systems Engineer, Craftsman (M&S Integration) at Schriever, SFB. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to design, plan, and integrate third-party modeling and simulation (M&S) capabilities into the 392d Combat Training Squadron's (392 CTS) operations, enhancing the effectiveness of U.S. Space Force exercises. Your work will directly impact the mission success of space M&S capabilities supporting USSF exercises.

Pay: $144,000 - $158,500

Essential Duties

M&S Integration & Design



  • Develop and execute a strategy to integrate third-party M&S capabilities into the existing 392 CTS Battlelab M&S architecture.
  • Lead the design, planning, and implementation of technical solutions to seamlessly incorporate new M&S capabilities into operations.


Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement



  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including government stakeholders, to gather and document technical and functional requirements for integration.
  • Coordinate and lead testing and validation efforts to ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards.


Risk & Resource Management



  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks associated with the integration process, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of systems.
  • Define project milestones, oversee timelines, and allocate resources to meet deadlines and project goals.


Documentation & Reporting



  • Maintain detailed records of integration processes, challenges, and resolutions, ensuring internal tracking and reporting accuracy.
  • Prepare and present technical briefings, trip reports, and meeting minutes to leadership and stakeholders.


Mission Support & Coordination



  • Attend technical interchange meetings (TIM), in-progress reviews, and programmatic meetings focused on USSF exercises and mission-related events.
  • Carry out tasks as directed by leadership to support the success of the 392 CTS mission.


Required Qualifications

Experience:



  • Proven experience working within DoD or National space organizations.
  • Expertise in project management or systems engineering within the DoD, specifically in managing project plans and ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
  • Knowledge of risk management strategies to ensure project success.
  • Experience analyzing technical and financial data for resource allocation in DoD projects.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience managing M&S projects from design through completion.
  • Certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), or a Certificate of Project Management from an accredited institution.
  • Familiarity with M&S tools like STK, Peregrine, RAPTOR, or Standard Space Trainer (SST).
  • Experience with DoD requirements, acquisition, or contracting processes.


Education & Certification



  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.


Required Clearance



  • Top Secret/SCI, with Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility.


Travel



  • Limited travel required (approximately 5-6 weeks per year).
