The Director, IT Reporting & Analytics leads a technical team dedicated to delivering timely, accurate, and actionable data insights to both internal stakeholders and external customers. This leader defines and executes the reporting strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer expectations. They are responsible for managing the people, processes, and technologies required to produce a wide array of reports, from ad-hoc analysis to automated, recurring reports subject to tight SLAs. By fostering a high-performance culture, the Director drives operational efficiency, technical excellence, and data accuracy. The role requires hands-on technical knowledge, strategic acumen, and the ability to lead change in a dynamic business environment.

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for IT reporting and analytics aligned with business goals.
    • Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality reporting for both internal and external customers.
    • Establish and maintain policies and procedures for data governance, data quality, and reporting standards.
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee day-to-day operations of the reporting and analytics function, ensuring SLA compliance.
    • Lead the development and management of reporting schedules, ensuring timely delivery.
    • Monitor and continuously improve the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of reporting processes.
  • Data Infrastructure & Governance
    • Oversee data source management, ensuring integrity, consistency, and security.
    • Collaborate with Data Governance, Security, and Compliance teams to ensure regulatory and contractual compliance.
    • Define and maintain the data architecture, integrating data from multiple sources to support reporting needs.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Lead the use of reporting tools and platforms, including Microsoft Power BI, SQL, and other analytics tools.
    • Drive technical innovations that improve reporting accuracy, speed, and flexibility.
    • Develop and enforce standards for report development, documentation, and maintenance.
  • People Leadership
    • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of technical professionals.
    • Foster a collaborative, customer-focused, and continuous improvement culture.
    • Manage capacity, workload, and career development of team members.
  • Customer Engagement & Service
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, customers, and partners to understand reporting needs and expectations.
    • Serve as an escalation point for issue resolution related to reporting and analytics.
    • Maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction with report accuracy, timeliness, and relevance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in reporting, data analytics, or business intelligence roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large, technical teams delivering on critical SLAs.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, SQL, and reporting platforms.
  • Experience with data governance, compliance, and security requirements.
  • Proven track record of driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in the healthcare insurance industry, particularly with claims, eligibility, or provider data.
  • Knowledge of ETL, data warehousing, and enterprise data management.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and modern data integration tools.
  • Experience with large-scale system migrations or data transformation initiatives.
