POSITION SUMMARY:

The Marketing Coordinator supports the Marketing Manager in executing marketing initiatives that strengthen the bank's brand presence and drive engagement with both customers and employees. This role is responsible for content creation and management of internal and external websites, social media platforms, advertisements, and promotional materials. Additionally, the Marketing Coordinator will manage promotional item inventory, assist with digital marketing initiatives, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Campaign Support: Assist in the execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives working with third party vendors, community organizations, partners, and internal stakeholders. Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to ensure campaigns are effectively supported and promoted across various channels.
  • Content Development: Write, edit, and manage copy for digital and print marketing materials, including website updates, social media posts, blogs, press releases, advertisements, brochures, internal communications, and other marketing related assets. Create accompanying graphic visuals for digital and print advertisements and other marketing assets. Collaborate with third-party vendors as needed to support content creation.
  • Social Media Management: Develop and schedule content for the bank's social media channels, monitoring engagement, responding to customer interactions as appropriate and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Website Management: Create, update, and maintain content for the bank's internal and external websites, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and brand consistency.
  • Project Management and Administrative Support: Help manage timelines, schedules, and workflows for various marketing projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Assist with Digital Marketing Initiatives - Support digital advertising campaigns, including email marketing, pay-per-click (PPC), search engine optimization (SEO), and other digital marketing initiatives.
  • Promotional Items and Collateral: Coordinate the creation, distribution, and inventory of promotional items and marketing collateral (brochures, flyers, etc.). Ensure all materials reflect the bank's brand guidelines and are effectively targeted to key audiences.
  • Online Business Listings: Ensure the banks online business listings are consistent and accurate. Be able to troubleshoot any issues with online platforms and respond to any inquiries or reviews.
  • Compliance: Must comply with applicable laws and regulations related to marketing and banking, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

About You

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1- 2 years' experience in a marketing, communications, or sales role, preferably in the financial services industry or related sector.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong writing skills with experience writing copy. Experience can include writing articles, social media posts, advertisements, guides, and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent proofreading and editing skills.
  • Strong creative skills.
  • Strong communicator that is able creatively convey ideas through verbal or written mediums.
  • Experience in graphic design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), Microsoft Office Suite, social media platforms and content management systems (CMS).
  • Familiarity using brand guides and adhering to the guidelines for all marketing materials.
  • Experience managing and editing website content. Familiarity with HTML.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set and achieve goals, help others, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, ensuring compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards. Must demonstrate a high level of trustworthiness and sound judgment in safeguarding company and client data.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - courtesy, tact, and diplomacy - are essential. As a subject matter expert, the position must build trust, communicate effectively, and navigate sensitive conversations with customers, colleagues, and vendors.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Must be capable of up to 10% travel (e.g. 2 days/month) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job, and the employee must have the ability to drive and have proper licensing.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
