We are currently seeking a Risk Reduction Coordinator (State Level) to join our team and play a vital role in the coordination and management of these essential programs.


Job Overview:

The Risk Reduction Coordinator (State Level) will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the effective execution of the Substance Abuse Prevention (SAP), Suicide Prevention Program (SPP), and Risk Reduction Support initiatives at the state level. The coordinator will work closely with National Guard units to implement program goals and objectives, conduct training, and ensure timely execution of all program activities. This position requires a blend of program management, training coordination, and strong communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Coordination: Coordinate and oversee SAP, SPP, and Risk Reduction Support programs at the state level, ensuring alignment with program goals and requirements.
  • Training & Briefing: Conduct training sessions and briefings for National Guard units, demonstrating flexibility with various audiences.
  • Program & Case Management: Provide program and case management support, working with state-level commanders to implement recommended training and monitor progress.
  • Supervisor & Managerial Support: Assist with the supervision of program staff and units, ensuring adherence to program standards and effective program delivery.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work a variable schedule, including weekends, to align with National Guard training and unit activities.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, input data into tracking systems, and provide regular updates on program outcomes.


Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, or similar).
  • Experience: A minimum of four years of practical experience in Substance Abuse Prevention, Suicide Prevention, Resilience, and program and case management.
  • Skills:

    • Experience in instructing and briefing diverse audiences.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to adapt to various situations and effectively manage time and resources.


  • Desirable Qualifications:

    • Managerial or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.




Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with the National Guard or military-based programs.
  • Familiarity with the SAP, SPP, and Risk Reduction Support programs.
