Summary of Primary Functions: Will be responsible for supporting the engineering team on construction and structural projects. This will be a summer internship supporting the Georgia Tindall Plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.

  • Works closely with engineering team to help identify cost-reduction techniques.

  • Draft layouts that adhere to clients' specifications while staying within limitations of budget and business requirements.

  • Assist structural engineers in conducting analysis of concrete slabs.

  • Join engineers on area visits, inspecting site foundation, and calculating dimensions and material costing.

Job Specifications or Qualifications:

Education: Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an ABET accredited school. Degree must be in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in Structural or Design Engineering.

Experience: Participate in ASCE concrete canoe and AIAS design build projects are a plus but not required.
