Summary of Primary Functions: Will be responsible for supporting the engineering team on construction and structural projects. This will be a summer internship supporting the Georgia Tindall Plant. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products. Works closely with engineering team to help identify cost-reduction techniques. Draft layouts that adhere to clients' specifications while staying within limitations of budget and business requirements. Assist structural engineers in conducting analysis of concrete slabs. Join engineers on area visits, inspecting site foundation, and calculating dimensions and material costing. Job Specifications or Qualifications: Education: Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an ABET accredited school. Degree must be in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in Structural or Design Engineering.
