The person in this role will be engaged in analyzing all markets in which Calpine participates. This role will be responsible for performing research and modeling in the energy industry, answering ad hoc energy industry questions, and creating presentation materials. Additionally, this position will be exploring business opportunities with other entities to offer our technical expertise to support their technology development or possibly implementing their technology through a pilot program or at one of our sites. Will be continually assessing new technical innovations and technology that may be used to improve efficiencies in existing power generation assets or in the development and implementation of new lines of business. Maintains the efficiency of important aspects of the project management process such as planning, scheduling, coordination, and budget, and risk assessment. Maintain project management best practices, processes, and policy to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and goals. Partners with multi-departmental leadership and other stakeholders to locate opportunities and develop and prioritize projects according to relevant measurement criteria.
