Summary:

In this role, you will serve as the overall executive engagement leader for one or more of Vizient's aggregation group partnerships. You will oversee all strategic and operational functions and is accountable for the delivery of a best-in-class program that delivers significant value to participating members. You will oversee programs, sourcing, contracting, analytics, operations, members satisfaction, interfaces with c-suite executives, and managing the measurement and reporting of the program success.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overarching strategy and execution of strategic objectives and goals for the aggregation group.
  • Work in close collaboration with the group's executive leadership team, and owners if applicable, to gain their support, confidence, and trust.
  • Develop an overarching strategy for execution, considering goals, capabilities, and competencies of each workstream and all related dependencies.
  • Accountable for delivering against savings targets and defined objectives for the aggregation group.
  • Craft and deliver influential communications on multi-dimensions with clarity, confidence, and persuasion to senior executive-level audiences, both within Vizient and with the group's executive leadership team.
  • In close collaboration with the group's executive team, the leader ensures that the member governance structure is optimized to drive initiatives forward through implementation and signoff.
  • Lead a dynamic cross-matrix staffing model and strategically leverages subject matter experts, programs, and tools to meet all program commitments.
  • Facilitate stakeholder calls/meetings and Member signoffs on critical milestones and activities.
  • Lead internal Vizient team calls to align individual workstreams and oversees tracking of key performance indicators.
  • Develop and track project/team performance through quantitative and qualitative measures of value, outcome, velocity, morale, and satisfaction. Proactively communicates potential issues to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that the applicable deliverables pertaining to the Statement(s) of Work with Service Providers are achieved.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders proactively and effectively, to ensure the appropriate level of communication and visibility is achieved in a timely manner.
  • Build relationships with the group's executive leadership and team, Members, and Vizient team to ensure successful delivery and high satisfaction with Vizient.
  • Work with Spend Management leaders to ensure strategic alignment and strong coordination throughout the implementation of key initiatives.
  • Collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas-legal, finance, marketing, spend management, sales, information and data services, and operations-to develop solutions and approaches that will increase utilization, savings/value, and growth for member organizations.
  • Lead by influence while fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, high-performance, and ethical behavior.
  • Drive the growth of the program and strategic alignment with other Vizient offerings working in close collaboration with the Vizient spend management team.
  • Manage revenue and expenses to ensure positive performance against established revenue and cost forecasts and develop strategies to mitigate any risk to these financial goals. Meets all financial obligations and manages the P&L for the program.
  • Observe market and technology trends, apply in-depth health care industry knowledge, and leads practices to innovate solutions to ensure that the program is best in class.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred. Master's degree in healthcare administration, business administration or a closely related field desired.
  • 10 or more years of relevant healthcare experience including at least 5 years at the leadership level required.
  • Significant strategic experience working within a supplier, hospital setting, hospital system, or association required.
  • Experience directing strategic planning, business planning and/or other organizational development activities.
  • Demonstrated management skills that include making effective and efficient decisions and prudent judgment to achieve long-range and short-term goals.
  • Demonstrate a high level of business acumen including successful P&L management.
  • Possess a leadership approach that is visionary, proactive, and politically savvy.
  • Proven ability to work positively with a wide range of individuals and groups that includes having excellent consensus building and conflict resolution skills.
  • The ability to lead by inspiring, influencing, and motivating others to encourage growth.
  • Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $187,800.00 to $348,300.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
