Function:

Maintenance Job Summary:This position is directly responsible for planning, coordinating and executing all instrument and electrical maintenance and PM work in the plants by supervising a combination of company and contract I&E technicians to perform these tasks. Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate and ensure safe execution of all routine and/or turnaround I&E maintenance work.
  • Plan, coordinate and ensure safe execution of all I&E maintenance work for planned and unplanned plant outages.
  • Ensure I&E technicians are trained in the maintenance of all instrumentation & electrical systems around the site via a training/progression program involving manufacturers, vendors, and site specific information.
  • Develop and ensure adherence to maintenance budgets.
  • Develop and maintain a working relationship with the many diverse "customers" who compete for your attention and maintenance resources, by correctly prioritizing activities.
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts to provide the goods and services required during activities.
  • Administering the preventative maintenance system to ensure mechanical availability and regulatory compliance for all equipment. This will include creating and editing PM documents and updating entity information in the CFI asset management system as the need arises.
  • Ensure all work, repairs, etc. are documented for compliance purposes and audits.
  • Ensuring that spare parts are available, or can be obtained in a prompt manner based on manufacturer's recommendations or personal experience, for all of the equipment in the affected area. This includes identifying, ordering and expediting, when necessary, the materials and rental equipment needed to complete work scopes.
  • Ensuring that outside services can be provided as needed for any of the equipment activities. This includes coordinating with safety and security departments to assure that outside contractors and vendors adhere to CFI's procedures and provide smooth transition onto and off of the plant site.
  • Provide vacation relief for I&E Superintendent when requested.

Internal Controls:

Understands and complies with established departmental processes and procedures designed to support internal controls efforts. Identifies and brings to the attention of department management internal controls deficiencies.

Successful incumbents will have:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of college or a vocational/technical school degree preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge and/or experience in plant and/or industrial Instrumentation and electrical systems and equipment.
  • Computer proficiency in Excel and Word is desired. Proficiency in Avantis (computerized maintenance management system), is preferred.
  • Maintain and possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
  • Must test negative (for cause and/or random testing) on all drug and alcohol screens.
