Job Description

The Digital Media Engineering and Productivity Systems Engineering teams are the backbone in defining and deploying next-generation technologies around real-time communication and productivity tools for all Visa employees. The technology these teams are responsible for truly affects the way Visa employees work and communicate with one another.

These engineering teams own all the Audio/Visual (AV) infrastructure, conference room technologies, video conference applications, enterprise event platforms, enterprise voice, workplace applications, Microsoft Exchange, VDI (Citrix), SFTP. This includes managing system requirements, evaluating cutting-edge technologies, design, development, integration, quality assurance, implementation, automation, and security assessments.

Candidates should be passionate, self-driven and resourceful, creative problem solvers with can-do attitude, have exceptional organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills, be an analytical and structured thinker as well as with significant experience in customer/partner interaction, management and software/hardware solution delivery. The position will be based in Visa's Foster City office.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage the intake process to evaluate incoming project requests for the applications you support by performing requirement elaboration, estimation and technical assessment.
  • Maintain a product backlog, facilitate backlog grooming and drive prioritization.
  • Understand User Experience, design thinking and its importance to product features and apply it to the user stories for user interface and components.
  • Deeply understand the needs of the business in utilizing Audio/Visual (AV) systems, Microsoft productivity tools, Citrix, and SFTP file sharing.
  • Work with Workplace Experience and Facilites, and IT engineering to define products scope and prioritization and be flexible to iterate/change per latest developments to meet deadlines.
  • Break down product requirementsinto clear, thorough, and detailed user stories for complex features and product sets.
  • Be the primary liaison betweenother business units, BU product managers, engineering, project managers, and other applicable groups to ensure flawless integration of new and existingfeature sets.
  • Evaluate new product opportunities, bring forward POC/proposals and influence to expand our product features and solution footprint.
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand ups, product demos, test phases, retrospectives to ensure on time, high quality delivery.
  • Work very closely withengineering teams to ensure technical specifications and final products meet business requirements.
  • Derive insights from data and help drive decision making.
  • Maintain release plans and publish release notes to stakeholders.
  • Provide oversight to develop user guides, user training materials.
  • Partner with engineering teams in providing product demos, user training and support for adoption of features and applications.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4 years of work experience with a bachelor's degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10-12 years of work experience and a bachelor's degree or 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters).
  • Strongproduct management and business transformation experience in deploying IT hardware and software.
  • Experience building roadmaps and custom applications as a product manager.
  • Functional knowledge of Audio/Visual, video conferencing, video streaming, VDI, MS Exchange, SFTP
  • Experience with data query and reporting tools such as SQL, Power BI
  • Strong knowledge of agile development practices (especially Scrum and / or Kanban), methodologies and tools (e.g. Jira, Jira Align, Rally) and CI/CD, DevOps
  • Six Sigma certification is desired
  • Exceptionalcollaboration and partnership skills with the ability to work independently in a globalenvironment and drive consensus in cross-functional teams
  • Self-motivated, results driven, with the ability to quickly establish clear, well thought out action plans and drive deliverables to completion under tight deadlines
  • Fastlearner on both technical side and business side
  • Morethan comfortable in an ambiguous matrixed organization
  • Strategicthinker who can balance big picture strategy with detailed, flawlessexecution
Additional Information

Work Hours:Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements:This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements:This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 138,500 to 200,700 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
