Overview

The Manager, Human Resources will work with the RMR People team with a primary focus on our residential real estate division. Reporting into the Senior Director, Talent Management. The Manager will apply human resources expertise to assigned business groups for our national, growing real estate company, with an emphasis on employee relations. This role provides leaders and managers with advice and guidance on strategies and approaches that lead to stronger employee engagement, employee performance, and higher performing teams.



Responsibilities

    Partner with the Senior Director to ensure day-to-day application, communication, and implementation of HR policies and programs.
  • Consults and advises on employee relations activities.
  • Provide guidance and/or serve as liaison between staff and appropriate specialists to identify courses of action related to employee relations matters and performance management.
  • Support managers in all HR-related matters consistent with the values of RMR, ensuring prompt communication and resolution of issues.
  • Prepares necessary documentation.
  • Coordinates and/or delivery of training on various HR/ employee relations related topics.
  • Conduct exit interviews.
  • Performs employee relations activities by conducting research and providing recommendations, in partnership with business leadership.
  • Consults and collaborates with HR/People, Compliance, Legal, and other relevant parties on complex matters.
  • Research, identify, and analyze employee relations concerns to refer employees to appropriate resources
  • Ability to work with data, identify trends as means to define process improvement
  • Provides additional HR generalist supporting including submitting employee transactions into RMRs HRIS system, reviewing employee data and metrics, and compliance training.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree. Preferred course of study in Human Resources Management or Business Administration.
  • PHR Certification required or in process.
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish
  • 4+ years of related experience, in a fast-paced Human Resources department.
  • Advanced computer skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook calendar management. SharePoint experience a plus. Publisher or another layout and design program a plus.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment; evidence of deadline orientation and time management skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion.
  • An elevated level of organization and a thorough attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and contribute to a team's success.
  • High energy, resourcefulness, and assertiveness.
  • Capable of seeing the big picture, acting as a hub of information flow, and able to keep projects moving.
  • Ability to work extended hours.
