Requisition ID req32909 Working Title Program Specialist Position Grade 12 Position Summary The Emergency Medicine (EM) Research is seeking a full-time program specialist. This position will support clinical, and health services funded projects in the Department of Emergency Medicine. Candidates should be highly organized, strong communicators, enthusiastic about health services and clinical research, and adept at interacting in teams and with patients. This position will assist in all aspects of the research endeavor, developing experience and expertise in clinical research. The Program Specialist will work closely with the principal investigator, support staff, clinicians, and patients to focus on behavioral, psychological and health equity research with clinical and community engagement. The Program Specialist will maintain recordkeeping systems, patient schedules and appointments and be involved in data collection, and data management. In addition, this person will assist in advance research skills including participant interviews, survey administration, and resource referral for patients experiencing adverse social determinants of health. The selected candidate will gain experience using qualitative and quantitative research software (i.e. NVivo), citation software (i.e. Zotero) and advanced Excel skills. This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of organizations in a diverse community. It will require, skills in organizing resources, multi-tasking and establishing priorities. It will require the ability to analyze, develop, establish and maintain efficient office work-flow and administrative processes. See the Position Description for additional information. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications
