Collaborates with academic departments and student services across the district and colleges to provide all-encompassing academic support and program coordination; plans with partners in the district and college to advertise programs on campus and in the community. Additionally, this position is responsible for working directly with faculty, staff, and/or students to plan and coordinate an assigned student service program, which includes enrolling and advising. Essential Functions 30%- Consults with faculty, staff, partner organizations, and other stakeholders on student retention best practices, program design (e.g., Early Alert and Academic Probation), and development; organizes, transcribes, and implements academic probation college-wide processes, enhances Early Alert program. 30%- Works collaboratively with academic units and student services throughout the colleges and the district to facilitate comprehensive academic support and program coordination; coordinates with College and District partners to promote programs on campus and within the community; develops faculty training, strategies, and activities for student development. 30%- First Year Experience and Walk-in Advising. 10%-Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two years of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting program development and coordination, student advising, financial aid or related student development programs. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Desired Qualifications A. Two (2) or more years' working in Academic Advising, retention, or other student affairs related areas. B. One or more years' experience working with Peoplesoft (Student Information System) C. One or more years' experience in compiling data and providing reports D. Experience maintaining, applying and communicating policies, procedures and regulations E.
