Wounded Warrior Project's (WWP) Career Transition Coordinator will contribute to the overall success of the Warriors to Work program by providing administrative, programmatic, and project management support. The Career Transition Coordinator will serve as the first point of contact for new alumni and employers registering with Warriors to Work, work closely with alumni to provide pertinent information to Career Transition Specialist, maintain placement and retention data, provide logistical support for Warriors to Work events and serve as an overall resource to a regional team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide effective and responsive customer service to alumni and employers as well as other internal and external partners.

  • Work with warriors and family support members to educate them on Warriors to Work services and coordinate receipt of initial documentation.

  • Prioritize incoming calls and emails, vetting and responding to basic inquiries within a specified time frame.

  • Manage incoming queue of new alumni and employer registrations.

  • Provide administrative support for regional team, including but not limited to recording meeting minutes, supporting registration and execution of events and special projects.

  • Compile weekly, monthly and quarterly KPI progress reports.

  • Maintain records for employment outcomes per employer, industry, and other specified criteria.

  • Coordinate with program leadership to update warrior-facing regional communications through WWP online engagement.

  • Enhance alumni awareness of Financial Wellness and enrollment into Warriors to Work through program collaboration.

  • Attend and actively participate in required training and/or meetings, including but not limited to New Teammate Orientation, WWP Cares, ASIST Suicide Prevention training, Leadership training, culture/team based training, or departmental huddles.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Self-starter; willing to take initiative.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Excellent verbal, written and keyboarding skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • A team player with exceptional interpersonal skills able to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and flexible manner.

  • Good reasoning and sound judgment

  • Resourceful, well organized, honest, reliable, dependable, efficient and consistent

  • High level of proficiency in the use of data-base programs (Salesforce preferred), and Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Strong data base management skills and administrative skills.

EXPERIENCE

Requirements

  • One year customer service experience.

Preferences

  • One year recruiting of and/or employment assistance experience.

  • Familiarity with military culture.

  • Salesforce experience.

EDUCATION

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.

Preferences

  • Bachelor's degree.

CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSURE

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain ASIST Certification within 1 year of hire.

Preferences

  • ASIST Certification.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • General office environment; temperature controlled.

  • Sitting for extended periods.

  • Lifting/carrying items up to 20 pounds.

  • Up to 25% travel.

For Colorado Applicants: The estimated hiring range for this position is between $46,099 - $57,624 annual base salary,subject to a candidate's combination of experience, qualifications, and credentials. This position may also be eligible for an annual performance incentive.

For San Diego, California and Washington State Applicants: The estimated hiring range for this position is between $50,489 - $63,112 annual base salary,subject to a candidate's combination of experience, qualifications, and credentials. This position may also be eligible for an annual performance incentive.

For New York Applicants: The estimated hiring range for this position is between $54,880 - $68,600 annual base salary,subject to a candidate's combination of experience, qualifications, and credentials. This position may also be eligible for an annual performance incentive.
