Principal Responsibilities:


  • Financings and securities offerings of GS Group, the parent company of Goldman Sachs, and certain of its subsidiaries, including public and private offerings of debt and preferred stock
  • GS Treasury activities, including bank loans, secured notes and loans, and other external and intercompany funding activities, asset liability management, entity capitalization, letters of credit and guarantees
  • Periodic reporting by GS Group and subsidiaries
  • Internal and external communications by GS
  • Implementation of regulatory requirements and advising with respect to other regulatory developments affecting GS Group
  • A wide variety of special projects, including acquisitions/dispositions, structured transactions, new businesses, outsourcing arrangements and corporate governance


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Securities lawyer with 5-8 years of experience with top tier law firm experience who is a graduate of a top law school
  • Some experience with banking or other types of secured, structured or leveraged finance transactions is helpful
  • Self-starter, capable of juggling multiple transactions and working with a minimum of supervision
  • Should be interested in getting involved in a number of diverse and unfamiliar projects/areas of the law
  • Should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and be a good team player
  • Should have the ability to respond creatively and quickly in a fast-paced, changing environment

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $170000-$270000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
