Job Duties: Vice President, Product Controllers with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Jersey City, New Jersey. Coordinate valuation communications and engagements with third party vendors that assist with valuation processes; provide data for third party valuations and review valuations provided by third party vendors to assess valuation methodology and accuracy. Coordinate audit review process with external and internal auditors, including providing supporting documentation for valuation inputs and assumptions and answering valuation-related questions. Prepare and present quarterly valuation proposals for senior management and valuation committee meeting. Provide financial updates, valuation, transaction activity, and trade reconciliation to stakeholders, such as Operations, Legal and Compliance. Ensure compliance with existing controls and ensure correct levels of control and independence are in place. Monitor the team processes and procedures, provide guidance to junior team members and ensure compliance with deadlines.

Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Quantitative Finance, Quantitative Methods and Modeling, Accounting, Economics or related quantitative or financial field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Quantitative Finance, Quantitative Methods and Modeling, Accounting, Economics or related quantitative or financial field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include three (3) years (if Master's) OR five (5) years (if Bachelor's) in the following: price verification and utilizing financial statements and financial statement analysis to assess investment financial performance, including working with income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements; Private Equity and Private Debt valuations techniques and methodologies including utilizing market approach, Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), and liquidation approach; utilizing Excel functions and quantitative modeling to prepare independent financial models, assess accuracy of existing models, and prepare reporting deliverables; utilizing at least one of the following, S&P Capital IQ, Bloomberg, or Factset, to source market data and industry research for benchmarking private valuations against public information; presenting and providing verbal and written communications to senior management, and internal and external stakeholders; utilizing independent valuation models including Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC), Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM), Option Pricing Model (OPM) and Contingent Claims Analysis models for valuation analysis; and fixed income and equities markets and the alternative investment management industry and utilizing market data to assess impact on valuations of private investments.

Salary Range: Annual base salary for this Jersey City, New Jersey - based position is $143,000/year - $270,000/year.
