Position Highlights |
The University of Arizona, Department of Communication, seeks an outstanding lecturer to teach a variety of public relations courses offered on our main campus in Tucson, Arizona. This adjunct lecturer will be hired to fill courses on an as-needed basis, to cover for faculty on sabbaticals or leave. Candidate must have a PhD in Public Relations of Communication. The position may require the supervision of teaching assistants.
Your teaching load may make you eligible for benefits if you work a .50 FTE or greater for 90 days or longer. Duties & Responsibilities |
- Teach multiple introductory and advanced courses in communication. Specific courses are open to negotiation but will generally be in the areas of media, interpersonal, small group, and organizational communication, in addition to health communication and/or communication theory.
- All courses will be instructed on campus and in person during Fall 2025 and Spring 2026.
- This is a one-year position.
- Candidate must have a PhD in Public Relations of
Communication. The position may require the supervision of teaching assistants in some courses.

Communication required.

- Experience teaching communication courses in a university setting.

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.Thesereports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
