** Internal Workers - Please log into your Workday account to apply ** Huntington Hospital Employee LoginCompensation Range: Anticipated Base compensation rate is in the range of $129,480.00 - $161,683.00 / Year depending on qualifications and experience.Department: 875300 Infection ControlExpectations: The Infection Control Preventionist is trained in hospital epidemiology principles and is responsible for the surveillance, analysis, interpretation and reporting of hospital acquired infections (HAI); educating employees about infection control prevention; and the development of health system policies and procedures to insure rigorous infection control standards that meet TJC, OSHA, CMS, CDC/NHSN, California statutes and other nationally organized recommendations and requirements. This position requires completion of an Infection Control Program training and CIC. This position is required to be on-call.EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, B.S. Medical Technology, B.S. Biology-Medical Technology, Master's in Public Health, or Doctor of Medicine required. EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: Minimum 1 year experience in Infection Control required. Knowledge of NHSN reporting required. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Required: Current Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) within 3 years of hire/transfer. SKILLS: Computer literacy. Proficiency in use of electronic health records and infection control databases. Competent in Microsoft Office. Worker Type: Regular Full timeShift: Days |
