Join our expert team as a Sr. ISD Analyst/Courseware Developer in Colorado Springs, CO, where your role will directly impact the success of high-priority military training programs. You will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to lead instructional system design (ISD) and courseware development, ensuring seamless execution of critical training objectives. Your work will shape the future of defense training by creating engaging, effective learning solutions.

Pay: $115,000 - $135,000

Essential Duties

Instructional Design & Courseware Development



  • Lead the full ISD process, including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation for instructional systems.
  • Apply the ADDIE Instructional Model to ensure alignment with best practices and performance improvement strategies.
  • Develop curriculum, including learning objectives, evaluations, instructional plans, and student handbooks to ensure comprehensive training.


Team Leadership & Collaboration



  • Lead and mentor team members to meet production, quality, and scheduling requirements, ensuring timely delivery of courseware.
  • Serve as the primary interface with contractor and government personnel, collaborating to refine and align instructional objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver both written and oral reports to contractor management and government representatives.


Documentation & Compliance



  • Oversee the creation of detailed training documentation, including Course Conduct Information Packages and Test Packages, in compliance with DoD standards.
  • Review source documents, working closely with SMEs to extract key instructional content that supports learning objectives.


Required Qualifications



  • 10-15 years of experience in Instructional Systems Design (ISD) and/or courseware development.
  • Proven experience in conducting Training Systems Requirements Analysis (TSRA) or developing System Training Plans (STP).
  • Leadership experience in creating training materials for interactive courseware (ICW) and scripted training scenarios.
  • Familiarity with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in editing and proofreading.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with the ADVISOR training management system.
  • Development of Level 3 and 4 ICW.
  • Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Familiarity with developing instructional content for United States Space Forces (USSF).
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and adapt to changing analysis processes.


Education & Certification



  • Bachelor's degree with 15-20 years of experience in complex systems analysis or related technical work, or
  • M.A. or M.S. degree may substitute for 5 years of experience; PhD or EdD for 10 years of experience.


Required Clearance



  • Secret clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI.


Work Environment



  • Standard office working conditions.


Travel



  • 10% travel required.
