SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
The Scheduler, Maintenance is responsible for developing and coordinating maintenance schedules to ensure the efficient execution of preventive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance activities in an LNG facility. This role involves collaborating with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to optimize resource allocation, minimize downtime, and maintain compliance with safety and reliability standards. The Scheduler plays a key role in maintaining asset integrity and operational efficiency. This position is located at the RGLNG site in Brownsville, TX.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage detailed maintenance schedules for routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with operations, reliability, and engineering teams to minimize disruptions to LNG production.
  • Ensure work orders are prioritized based on safety, criticality, and operational impact.
  • Monitor schedule adherence and adjust plans to accommodate changes in operational conditions.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling major maintenance shutdowns and turnarounds.
  • Ensure all shutdown activities are properly sequenced, resourced, and aligned with operational needs.
  • Work with procurement and logistics teams to ensure the availability of spare parts and equipment.
  • Coordinate labor, materials, and equipment availability to optimize maintenance execution.
  • Ensure proper allocation of technicians and contractors based on workload and priority.
  • Monitor and track work progress, identifying potential bottlenecks and delays.
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with LNG industry safety regulations, OSHA, API, and company policies.
  • Support risk assessments, permit-to-work processes, and job hazard analyses (JHA).
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance schedules, and work history.
  • Generate reports on maintenance performance, schedule compliance, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze maintenance trends and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Assist in optimizing the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS such as SAP 4 HANA, Prometheus or similar platforms).
Minimum Requirements
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Controls, Project Management, Maintenance Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in maintenance within LNG, oil & gas, or petrochemical industries.
  • Proficiency in CMMS software (SAP, Prometheus, MS Project, P6) for scheduling and work order management.
  • Strong knowledge of LNG plant maintenance processes, reliability practices, and equipment types.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Understanding of predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
  • TWIC card required; candidates must either currently hold a valid TWIC or be eligible to obtain one.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Certification in maintenance planning (e.g., SMRP, PMP, or SAP PM Module Certification).
  • Experience with shutdown/turnaround planning in LNG or process facilities.
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment with occasional work within or outside of a complex construction environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/fax, filing cabinets, etc. This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the incumbent must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform all essential job functions for a full shift.

* Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as required in order to lift files, boxes and office equipment as necessary.

* The incumbent is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
* Ability to move throughout all areas of each office/site location and facilities.
* Able to wear all necessary PPE equipment to perform job functions.
