Overview Corporate Security Executive Protection Department Manager is responsible for leading and supervising executive protection, driving, and logistics support, as needed when the CEO/Principal travel both domestically and internationally. In this role you will be ensuring the safety and security of the Principal(s) and serving as an advisor regarding travel, safety, and logistics. Domestic travel, international travel, and 24/7 availability are required.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Manage close protection operations including logistics, secure transportation, and security at public appearance venues.
- Conduct detailed surveys and travel advances as needed.
- Deliver briefings to senior leadership and board of directors.
- Liaise with insurance, security consultants, and contractors.
- Lead and manage teams at events of varying visibility.
- Coordinate contingency plans and emergency medical response for security incidents.
- Conduct security and threat assessment audits and recommend improvements.
- Maintain operational proficiency for all equipment used in protective operations (vehicles, medical supplies, communications devices).
- Monitor and manage expenditures, ensuring financial targets are met and effective financial controls are in place.
- Review organizational development needs and training strategies, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management.
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree and Minimum of 20 years of experience. in Law Enforcement, Military Intelligence, or a combination thereof, with five of those years in a supervisory role leading an Executive Protection team or similar tactical element.
Relevant Work Experience
- Experience in planning event security, advance operations, conducting site security audits, and international travel and logistics. Required
- Experience in risk management identifying, assessing, and mitigating threats to the Principal(s) and other parties as appropriate. Required
- Current US Passport and license or appropriate state credentialing. Required
- Demonstrated experience with program management. Required
- Demonstrated experience in building relationships and maintaining effective liaison with internal and external stakeholders. Required
- Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time. Required
- Ability to work independently and adapt to various work environments while always maintaining a high level of attentiveness, professional demeanor, and energy. Required
- Exercise sound operational judgment while demonstrating flexibility with shifting priorities and challenges, including various tasks such as post-standing, driving, and other assigned duties. Required
- Maintain eligibility for TS clearance within one year of hiring. Required
- Current Top Secret security clearance. Preferred
- Overseas experience involving protective or security operations. Preferred
- EMT, AED, CPR, trauma treatment or other first aid training experience. Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- Driver's License Required
- Other: Current HR-218 certification. Preferred
Physical Demands
- Ability to respond to system emergencies
- Able to work in all weather conditions, i.e. excessive heat and/or cold
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs
- Ability to work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e., excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces)
- Stand, walk, lift, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, and/or reach for the duration of the workday
- Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e. fire-retardant clothing and safety harnesses
- Work rotating shifts, including nights, midnights, weekends, and holidays

- Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
