The Department of Orthopedics is looking for an undergraduate or graduate student to perform basic office work including answering phones, answering pagers, taking attendance at morning conferences, typing, filing, and some special projects. Must have availability to work within core business hours of 8-5 Monday-Friday, 15-20 hours per week. Must be available to work full time during summer this summer. There is a possibility that this position could extend into the school year. Required Skills: Knowledge of office routines and functions sufficient to refer visitors and telephone calls and to route correspondence by name or functional area. Skill in operating office equipment. Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and the public. Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately. Ability to learn and perform clerical procedures. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Knowledge of office software programs such as Microsoft Office.
