About Us: IFF, a global leader in fragrance and flavor, is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join our team.

Role Overview: As the Payroll Manager, you will oversee payroll operations for 5,500 US employees and fewer than 20 Canadian employees. You will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal controls while maintaining strict confidentiality and meeting tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily payroll operations, including Payroll Tax and Payroll Time.
• Ensure accurate processing of weekly, biweekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payrolls using ADP Workforce Now.
• Maintain and process time and attendance records, payroll deductions, compensation changes, and withholding adjustments.
• Perform payroll reconciliation tasks and prepare required reports for month-end and general ledger posting.
• Handle benefits interfaces, troubleshoot data issues, and respond to auditor inquiries.
• Complete mortgage and employment verification forms and respond to local tax authorities.
• Address payroll inquiries from employees and complete union dues remittance and reports.
• Coordinate with HR to ensure accurate SAP employee information for payroll.
• Serve as the point of contact for payroll and timekeeping system issues.
• Review and complete periodic and year-end reporting.
• Engage in projects impacting payroll processes and systems, driving continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Over 10 years of payroll processing experience with ADP WFN and E-Time.
• Strong understanding of payroll principles and local tax regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all management levels.
• Ability to work under strict deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• High level of confidentiality and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Certified Payroll Professional certification is strongly preferred.

Location:

• Hybrid role based in Hazlet, NJ: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.
• 20% travel required.
