Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Under minimal direction, performs administrative and complex accounting tasks related to product costing, service accounting, financial reporting and financial analysis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. (Essential)
  • Resolves various issues in imaginative and practical ways using skills and a full understanding of industry practices, company policies, and procedures. (Essential)
  • Completes Financial Accountant Close Procedures including reconciliation and review of various income statement and balance sheet accounts. (Essential)
  • Prepares and compiles monthly financial statements and related schedules promptly. (Essential)
  • Prepares and/or reviews monthly Ebara Corporation report, including other reporting and informational requests from EC. (Essential)
  • Prepares Stravis Link reporting for quarterly & annual actual results and plan data, revised forecast, and other financial analysis and information for Ebara Corporation. (Essential)
  • Complies data including budgets, sales forecasts and other assumptions used in the preparation of plans and forecasts. (Essential)
  • Analyzes financial results to assist management in identifying trends or areas needing attention. (Essential)
  • Leads fixed asset physicals and supervises physical counts. (Essential)
  • Lead person in preparing documentation for annual financial audit and quarterly reviews.
  • Prepare documentation for internal audits, self-checks and other similar reviews.
  • May need to travel to ensure controls are operating effectively at various EBARA locations and as needed for finance-related operations. (Essential)
  • Backup for monthly commission calculations & journal entry preparation, sales tax returns preparation, new part master approval, standard costing, government surveys & reporting and service financials. (Essential)
  • Make recommendations on appropriate service accounting, cost accounting, and systems transactions to obtain optimal inventory control and reporting. Monitors cycle count reporting and, as needed, supervises physical inventory of products and parts. (Essential)
  • Possess effective communication skills, both written and oral, to work with all levels within the company, from the manufacturing employee to the President. (Essential)
  • Complies with EBARA safety policies, including participation in and completion of all required safety training. (Essential)
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment compliant with Ebara safety policies. (Essential)
  • Performs other duties as assigned. (Non-Essential)

Education



  • Bachelor of Science in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience.


Experience



  • Four (4) to six (6) years of financial accounting experience, including internal financial statement preparation and daily general ledger accounting, preferably in a multi-company environment.
  • Detailed knowledge of cost accounting concepts and theories, and service accounting.
  • Working knowledge of general policies and procedures.
  • Strong Customer Relations skills.


SKILLS & ABILITIES



  • Working knowledge of MS Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate and work effectively with internal colleagues and customers.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and Organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
