The Maintenance Supervisor partners with the site management team to drive the site's operational success. This position will guide a team of maintenance professionals and be responsible for the physical plants including buildings, grounds, machinery, and equipment, in compliance with local, state, and federal environmental and fire prevention standards. Located at our Franklin, Virginia site, the Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Plant Manager.

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Develops, and coaches a staff of electrical and instrumentation technicians and maintenance mechanics
  • Manages the maintenance department while identifying and implementing any improvements to align with business goals
  • Evaluates and implements cost savings and process improvements to ensure expense controls and cost savings
  • Meets or exceeds financial and budgetary goals for maintenance department and the site
  • Oversees the plant preventative maintenance program, including coordination, scheduling, and ensuring completion
  • Utilizes SAP for work order and preventative maintenance scheduling and tracking
  • Reviews and implements value adding maintenance KPIs
  • Initiate plant continuous improvement focusing on minimizing downtime, improving throughput, etc.
  • Engage and participates in daily staff meetings
  • Manages multiple project timelines, budgets and outside contractor relationships
  • Facilitates vendor management and communication
  • Ensures compliance with high-risk safety programs (LOTO, Confined Space, Hot Work, Etc.)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate's degree in a technical field; Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical/ Automation Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years of work experience in process-oriented manufacturing (such as chemical, food, beverage) with at least 3 years managing a team

  • Have experience with SAP functions as they pertain to maintenance and purchasing.
  • Possesses exceptional mechanical aptitude

  • Demonstrates a high degree of coordination, planning and organizational skills
