Position Description
The Corporate Security Safety Coordinator is responsible for providing environmental and safety support and ensuring that all practices comply with Atlantic Union Bank policies and local, state, and federal OSHA rules and regulations. The incumbent will support the development and coordination of training programs in accordance with the safety program.
Position Accountabilities
* Develop and maintain safety related policies and procedures in conjunction with the Business Resiliency Team.
* Ensure compliance with OSHA, federal and state safety regulations based on standards provided by the Business Resiliency Team.
* Ensure that fire evacuation plans are kept up to date and are posted plainly in common areas.
* Conduct risk assessments to gather information on safety issues. Make recommendations based on best practices.
* Collect and utilize data to identify trends and insights to inform business solutions.
* Develop and maintain emergency evacuation plans for designated corporate AUB buildings.
* Plan and coordinate emergency drills for designated corporate AUB buildings at least annually. Coordinate drills with building property managers at leased facilities. Communicate with building occupants regarding proper procedures for evacuation and where to gather. Evaluate performance of drills and make recommendations for improvements.
* Partner with the Building Operations Safety Lead on training needs and communication.
* Participate in the Threat Management Team and associated training and activities.
* Chair the Building Safety Committees in each designated corporate office buildings. Create and update charter. Manage meetings, insure membership participation, handle agendas and distribute meeting minutes. Communicate decisions and outcomes as appropriate. Provide consistency across buildings.
* Consult with all departments on use of equipment, fire prevention, and safety programs.
* Own the completion of all safety training and tracking for the bank including Fire Evacuation Training, Workplace Violence Prevention and Intervention Training, Robbery Training, Safety Committee Training, Bomb Threat Training, suspicious mail/package training, and any additional training deemed appropriate for teammates or management.
* Act as a liaison between Workplace and Security Management and business stakeholders regarding building safety compliance and training.
* Coordinate with Corporate Communications and Enterprise Risk Management on emergency communications.
* Conduct periodic safety inspection tours of facilities to detect existing or potential accidents and hazards and recommend corrective or preventative measures where indicated.
* Coordinate with Operations and Maintenance on locations of emergency signage and posting of required information.
* Represent the organization in community or industry safety groups and programs.
* Devise, supervise, and coordinate mandatory and voluntary training programs which will increase proficiency in safe practices and promote safety consciousness.
* Develop safety specific training for new teammates during onboarding.
* Develop and maintain emergency contact postings in every location and update in a timely manner.
* Attend continuing education training seminars for safety and security professionals.
* Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualification
Education & Experience
* Undergraduate degree in safety management or related field
* Must have a minimum of 4 - 6 years of directly related safety or EHS experience, or a combination of education and experience.
* Professional Safety Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred. OSHA Safety and health fundamentals certification helpful.
* Three or more years of banking/retail experience preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
* Knowledge and understanding of the enterprise risk management framework to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate safety risks.
* Knowledge and understanding of analysis on safety issues.
* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
* Highly developed Internet search skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office-based applications, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
* Strong communication skills including the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and general public.
* Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment.
* Strong research and critical thinking skills to identify, collect, and evaluate data; to absorb and synthesize large amounts of information; and to draw logical, interpretable, and potentially actionable conclusions.

* Must be able and willing to regularly travel to all bank locations.
Salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
