Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring an Associate Cataloger to contribute to our team. This person will be based in our Lavergne, TN office in the greater Nashville area.

In this role, you will perform a variety of bibliographic duties in an online environment, including original cataloging and bibliographic record upgrades for all formats. You will perform bibliographic edits based on national standards, Ingram standards, and customer requirements, as well as assign both LC and Dewey classification numbers. You will function as part of a team of professionals and paraprofessionals to ensure that outgoing materials meet company standards in terms of quality, timeliness, and quantity.

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS with enrollment in Master's Degree in Library and/or Information Science program
  • 1 Master's level cataloging course successfully completed
  • 1 year experience working in public, school, academic, or special library, or library vendor

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and task management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Catalog materials in all formats in accordance with national and international standards and local requirements.
  • Upgrade MARC records to full-level encoding status for all formats in accordance with national cataloging standards, RDA standards, and Ingram and local requirements.
  • Create original records, including applying customer specifications and building both LC and Dewey classification numbers and selecting LC subject headings and other standards.
  • May serve as cataloging lead for small to mid-range accounts or standard large accounts.
  • Analyze issues and resolve problems with titles, orders, and workflow.
  • Suggest improvements to workflow and other efficiencies.
  • Stay informed of changes to bibliographic standards and policies, including those specific to Ingram's proprietary databases.
  • Meet production and quality goals and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
  • Maintain a steady pace of continuous improvement and completes needed workshops, training, and self-study to develop necessary cataloger skills.
  • Actively participate in departmental and company team-building and morale-building activities.

Hiring Salary Range:$50,725k-$63,038k.This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to: the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
