Job Overview

Under minimum supervision, the Warehouse coordinator is responsible for transactional duties in warehouse, fulfilling month end and quarter end obligations, maintaining inventory accuracy, collaborating with other departments to support inventory demands. Maintaining records, and preparing any necessary documentation needed to perform daily duties. Perform shipping activities, which require a broad knowledge of various shipping processes.Pay range for this position ranges from $18/Hr -$25/Hr based on experience.

Job Functions:

* Logging inventory status changes into computer, and the physical storage, preparation of materials for shipment and loading of trucks.

* Keep track of shipment schedules for both incoming and outgoing shipments.

* Compare packing lists to company purchase orders and certify products in each delivery match the packing list as well as verify incoming shipments

* Keep thorough records of items shipped or received, track inventory changes and report any damages or discrepancies

* When not overseeing inventory transactions, warehouse coordinator will help unload delivery trucks by operating forklifts safely, including and adhering to slow speeds in manufacturing areas when operating forklift

* Prepare documents for shipping ( BOL, packing, pick list etc.), receiving ( Packing slip, product labels etc. )

* May be called on to lift to 35 lbs. and to help with lifting over 35 lbs

* Reports equipment and/or computer problems immediately to the appropriate department for replacement or repair, with particular attention to terminals, printers and electronic scales.

* Collects data for several supervisory/employee records and monitors these records weekly to identify potential problems.

* Inventory Leader in the warehouse. Brings administrative excellence and attention to detail to the entry of daily transactions. Strives for 100% accuracy. Realizes mistakes and takes action to correct them as they occur.

* Review daily shipments for count accuracy.

* Fills order from customer sales order and prints out pick list.

* Writes bills of lading and enters shipping transactions into SAP ( common carriers, UPS, FedEx, etc.)

* Checks for damages on finished good pallets prior shipment.

* Moves material to and from department by hand or with available material handling equipment such as ladder, pallet jack, cart, forklift

* Puts material away and keeps shipping dock and surrounding warehouse neat and orderly

* Verify attendance. Resolve and/or escalate staffing issues. Re-balance work stations as necessary

* PPE & Safety inspection

A Day In The Life

Safety

Verify employees in work area adhere to safety procedures, including PPE.

Effectively deliver toolbox talks to employees

Follow up on countermeasures for safety issues

Participate in safety walks through your area(s)

Actively participate in safety meetings and/or training

Identify safety hazards and escalating issues as necessary

Reporting and documenting of safety incidents

Complete OSHA 10-hour training & other training assigned by EH&S manager

Quality

Ensure quality forms are completed by cell captains

Perform necessary quality checks of products per production paperwork

Ensure proper equipment ( forklift, electric pallet jacks ) are inspected daily

Train employees on required daily equipment inspection sheets

Communicate customer feedback and/or quality alerts to employees

Work with to report scrap and rework with proper documentation, escalate if necessary

Participate in MRR reviews.

Production

Resolve any issues preventing production line stops with material issues.

Escalate material issues to Warehouse Supervisor or Manager as needed

Ensure warehouse , equipment, tools and working materials are in good working condition when needed

Periodic review of equipment inspection sheets, housekeeping checklist, safety sheets

Maintain adherence to shipping schedule, and Ensure that all necessary SAP transaction are being completed in a timely manner.

People/Communication

Report attendance issues

Communication liaison between management and associates

Coach, develop, and lead team by example

Attend weekly lead meeting

Train on new hire checklist, as needed

Ensure associates follow company policies and procedures

Maintain retention efforts (ex. color badges, meet and greets, etc.)

Lean

Help build an organizational culture in which passion for continuous improvement is inherent

Update production metrics per shift

Audit cell captain adherence to 5S housekeeping, daily

Monitor production against performance goals to ensure progress is being made. If goals are not being met, work with supervisor to develop a corrective action plan.

Ensure hour by hour boards are completed on time and correctly.

What will help you thrive in this role?

Required Qualifications:

* High School diploma or GED equivalent required.

* 2-5 year's experience in a lead or supervisory position in a manufacturing environment.

* General understanding of Microsoft Applications.

* Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations.

* Ability to participate and Lead in a team-orientated environment.

* 10 Hour OSHA Training Required (company paid)

* Willingness to assist and train others.

* Ability to communicate at all levels of the company.

* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

* Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, employees or visitors.

* Basic mechanical experience.

* Strong interpersonal skills.

* Must be forklift and electric pallet jack certified.

Physical Demands:

* Lifting up to 35 pounds

* Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend

* Work at heights of up to 10 feet above the ground

* Work around electricity

* Lift, pull, push and reach using a full range of motion

* Work in dusty, smoky, and wet areas at times

* Work usually takes place in a manufacturing environment where conditions can be reflective of the outside elements
