- Manage and direct the work of HR Service Center Team determining work procedures, preparing work schedules, expediting the workflow, assigning duties, examining work for accuracy and conformance to policies and procedures, and troubleshooting issues that arise.
- Ensure all standard operating documentation (SOP) are maintained and updated timely and provides accurate information.
- Develop, lead and motivate the shared service specialist team through coaching; influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
- Oversee internal and external audits as required
- Drive continuous improvement standards to promote team efficiency by utilizing statistical details based on KPIs
- Partner with key stakeholders to understand service delivery expectations and ensure services meet or exceed expectations
- Develop and monitor performance and plan resource allocation to ensure adequate coverage and adherence to service level agreements
- Collaborate with the team to resolve complex issues related to HR programs and processes
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws
- Manage and support projects as assigned within HR Services
- Ensure client service and satisfaction in all areas of position
- Build, mentor and provide leadership to HR Service Center, to ensure top performance across multiple disciplines
- Advises departmental supervisors and managers on appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
- Plans and conducts new employee orientations, for corporate teammates, to foster positive attitude toward company goals and an effective hand-off to departmental leadership.
- Leads supervisory and management training specific to HR-related topics
- Conducts employee investigations and recommends appropriate resolution
- Answers unemployment claims; prepares for and attends unemployment hearing
What you need:
- Minimum 4 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and training
- PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret HR metrics, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leadership
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
