Position Summary:

As logistics specialist, you are responsible for the whole life cycle of our products from Receiving, Storage, Inventory Control, Kitting, Packaging and Delivery to our Final Assembly Line. You will report to the US Logistics Manager.

Position Responsibilities:

Inbound Level:



  • Proceed to physical control of the parts as per internal process and Quality Usage decision within SAP and to propped identification and labelling.
  • Proceed proper storage within the Warehouse.



Kitting Level:



  • Apply FIFO and pick components listed on the kitting order.
  • Proper bagging and labelling according to the size of the components.
  • Follow the technical instructions to prepare the part that need to be ready for production.
  • Perform reception of kitting in the Warehouse in SAP transaction using MIGO code to print the labels



Picking Level:



  • In the warehouse/stockroom use one dedicated trolley and physically pick/scan the components listed on the picking order applying FIFO
  • Assist with tracking material shortages



Outbound Level:



  • Perform packaging of the parts following the internal process



Qualified Experience/Skills/Training:

Education:



  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent



Experience:



  • Willingness to work flexible hours/ in shift organization, work overtime as needed.
  • Experience with a computer MRP system (SAP preferred)
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Must possess high attention to detail, strong organizational skills and sense of urgency
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are required
  • Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have experience to operate strapping and wrapping machines for outbound shipments
  • Experience in Aerospace or Commercial Manufacturing in an ESD (electrostatic discharge) environment is helpful
  • Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods
  • Previous kitting/warehouse or manufacturing assembly experience preferred
  • Ability to work standing for long periods with frequent stooping or bending
  • Ability to take instructions and work with little supervision
  • Ability of count accurately
  • Ability to read and comprehend at a level to perform essential function of position
  • Ability to perform mathematical functions (simple math)
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Capability and willingness to cross train between departments and between jobs within each department as required



Physical Demand



  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk and hear. Based on the position an employee is occasionally required to stand for an extended period of time; walk; reach above shoulders; and stoop, kneel, bend, twist or crouch.


  • The employee must occasionally be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities require by this job include close vision.


  • Personal Protective Equipment many be required including safety shoes and glasses. Other protective equipment may also be necessary based on the specific task
