Position Summary

The Direct Sales - Existing Accounts focus specializes in selling the firm's products or services to, and maintaining relationships with, existing accounts. Sells firm products or services directly to the end-user.

Responsible for selling the company's products or services to and maintaining relationships with existing accounts. If incumbent is responsible for both existing and new accounts, match to Sales Account Manager - Direct - New Accounts. If unable to distinguish between levels or only one level of account manager within the company, match to the career level. The most highly populated individual contributor level (up to 75-80% of the individual contributor sales population) might be matched to the career level. No more than 15-20% of individual contributor sales population would typically be matched to the advanced level. National (country-wide) account managers should be matched to the Field Sales - Strategic Account Management - National - Direct Sales jobs. Must select Direct/End-User channel code for incumbents matched to this set of jobs. Account managers handling National (country-wide) key, named strategic accounts should be matched to the Field Sales - Strategic Account Management - National - Direct Sales jobs. This is an individual contributor role.

Qualifications

The person in this position is responsible for selling gaming products to licensed casino operators within an assigned territory and improving the quality of customer service.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop a good working knowledge of the product line and its application within the marketplace
  • Prepares and delivers sales presentations to new and existing customers to sell Scientific Games products and services on location, at trade associate meetings, and from the office
  • Identifies customer requirements via sales contact or through slot floor analysis and demonstrates how specific types of products and services will promote their casino in the most effective way possible
  • Compiles and maintains updated account listings/call sheets of all customers through the use of personal contacts, trade journals, business directories, and other available sources of information
  • Provides quotes to customers based on corporate approved prices and prepares sales contracts and sales order entry documentation in a timely and accurate manner for orders obtained
  • Provides estimated dates of delivery to the customer based on lead times and keeps customer advised of all issues impacting the delivery of his order
  • Provides updated forecast reports on a regular basis to management and identifies major sales opportunities in a timely manner
  • Provides to management updated product forecast reports on a regular basis for approval, major sales opportunities, competitive market trends and/ or any issues that may impede business
  • Prepares sales contracts and sales order entry documentation in a timely and accurate manner for orders obtained
  • Sell to large assigned customer base
  • Reports expense account information in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Meets or exceeds sales quotas
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Ability to work in a dynamic sales environment
  • Ability to demonstrate value for a technical product
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, sales proposals, and presentation materials
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with prospects, managers, customers, or the general public
  • Customer-orientation
  • Strong negotiation skills when preparing sales contracts
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to Travel

Work Conditions:

  • The work conditions are representative and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations
  • Casino Environment. Exposure to noise and cigarette smoke
  • May require weekend and evening hours. Overnight travel required in relation to territory and customer location.
