POSITION SUMMARY:
The Reverse Logistics Specialist position provides the determination and execution for claims on customer orders that reflect overages, shortages, damages as well as returns and/or refusals. The Reverse Logistics Specialist collaborates with a large variety of internal and external critical partners to resolve these types of claims.

The position requires a self-managed individual who is aligned with the expectations and objectives of the Supply Chain as they conduct their daily operational activities. This position is based in the Business Solutions Center in Solon, Ohio.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational:

  • Reverse Logistics Specialist will review, validate & process all overage, shortage, damage, returns & refusals on customer orders for all US16 customers
  • Reverse Logistics Specialist will monitor a shared email inbox with continuous incoming inquiries from transportation carriers, customers, sales managers, and customer facing supply chain that need disposition on returning or destroying any US16 product in question due to a delivery failure.
  • Reverse Logistics Specialist is to use autonomous decision-making when faced with exception scenarios to determine what is best for NUSA based on the customer needs, facility requirements, carrier capacity, and escalating as appropriate.
  • Reverse Logistics Specialist will investigate invoice (non-payment) disputes for Return/Refusal scenarios escalated by the Credit CoC.
  • Reverse Logistics Specialist ensures data integrity by applying correct Reason Coding for delivery failures, can accurately interpret trending data, as well as identify and assist with problem resolution
  • Collaboration with cross-functional areas including all roles internal to the BSC, Transportation (all personas within the THub, Procurement & Relationship Management) Nestle contracted and customer carriers, warehouse facilities, inventory control, credit, and collections, while maintaining a proper professional approach in all interactions (face to face; phone, e-mail, meetings, etc.)
  • Reverse Logistics Specialist participates in customer meetings when needed (ex. Lens of Customer) to provide insights within their expertise.
  • Reverse Logistics Specialist has a vast understanding of all the different US16 product categories, SKUs, and their requirements in order to make fast decisions
  • Resolve conflicts / discrepancies positively, professionally, and timely
  • Support the NUSA Business Solutions Center Roadmap, Nestle Continuous Excellence Initiatives and Continuous Process Improvement.
  • Adheres to all Nestle Next Guidelines related to Returns/Refusal requests from Customers

Administration:

  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Attend, facilitate, and actively participate in operational reviews.
  • Ensure achievement of KPI's, SLAs, and overall business objectives.
  • Deliver valuable and timely reporting when needed
  • Embrace a Winning mindset, while being aligned, agile and adaptable.

Other duties as assigned including but not limited to meetings, projects, training, and other necessary tasks to support adding the most value to Nestle.

REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma, with a college education preferred.
  • Requires a professional approach to internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrates a professional image and demeanor.
  • Customer Service, Transportation and/or Logistics experience preferred
  • Understanding of OS&Ds preferred
  • Handling product recalls preferred
  • Experience in a tactical and fast-paced office environment
  • Strong customer service skills

SKILLS:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholders (customer, Sales, CFSC, Credit, Transportation, BSC, etc.)
  • Analytical, decision-making, and good judgment is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills a must.
  • Must be able to handle shifting priority requirements
  • Must be able to thrive in a team environment
  • Must be resilient to and embrace change
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook Programs
