Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Accounting

• Teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses consistent with the faculty member's area of expertise and program requirements. Assigned classes may be taught in face-to-face, online, hybrid, or competency-based formats.
• Advise and mentor students.
• Develop new courses and update existing ones for face-to-face, hybrid, online, and competency-based formats.
• Stay current in the field through scholarly work, professional development, and active engagement in the discipline.
• Attend department and university meetings as well as contribute to relevant activities and events.
• Provide service to the department, university, community, and the relevant academic discipline.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

PhD, DBA, or similar terminal degree in Accounting or a related area, preferably from an AACSB-accredited institution. All but Dissertation (ABD) candidates may apply. Doctorate must be completed by the start date.

To be considered for the Associate Professor level, candidates must have the academic credentials, including active scholarship and a strong teaching record, to qualify for that position.

The Department of Business is AACSB accredited and recognizes multiple types of research including basic, applied, and pedagogical. The department particularly values teaching, research and professional engagement that connects the faculty and students to the vibrant SE Wisconsin region, as well as global business. The department also encourages high impact practices such as community-based learning, supervising student organizations, participating in competitions, and undergraduate/graduate student research.
