About This Role The Role We Are Offering You:As the Solution Delivery Director, you will be responsible for the delivery of our complex, high-risk, very large, multisite portfolio implementations and innovative solutions, often international in scope. Are you ready to:
- Lead delivery teams, develop, and maintain relationships with key customers, including C-Level executives, being the single point of escalation.
- Drive end-to-end activities to support the implementation of our solutions, from business processes mapping, requirements management, data migration, to testing, training and installation.
- Ensure that all projects in your program are moving forward and that all components for a successful delivery are in place, as per the committed plan and budget.
- Coordinate resources and support the development of project plans, resolving issues related to delays in project delivery and resource constraints.
- Establish regular communication channels with the customer to review the solutions delivery status and build effective relationships with the senior leadership team.
- Manage Solutions delivery-level key performance indicators, risks and issues, ensuring that change management strategies are adopted by the customer.
- Align the efforts of cross-functional teams to support the company's strategic objectives.
- Manage ongoing work through governance structures, creating detailed plans for each Solution Delivery activities.
- Drive alignment and adherence to standards and direction set by the organization.
- Remove barriers that prevent efficient execution of implementations, working with internal stakeholders to resolve multi-program conflicts.
- Ensure that approved methods, processes, and tools are consistently used across projects and programs, including process mapping, testing, data migration, rules management.
- Provide quality assurance and continuous improvement to ensure compliance and process enhancement.
- Support initial proposals and sales pursuits, estimate Solutions delivery effort, check deal sheets, and provide input into account plans.
- Be accountable for forecasting services revenue and generating services sales.
- Build and drive a strategic and innovative plan in terms of Solutions delivery philosophy - (operating model, process and tools enhancement, talent development & footprint management).
- Lead internal CAE initiatives and respond to operational requests.
Our Ideal Candidate Has:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent; a Master's degree is preferred (Software Engineering).
- Software Project/program management certification (PMP preferred).
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in management consulting, working for a software vendor, and/or in the travel industry.
- At least 10 years of Project and Program Management experience managing complex software system implementations.
- Airline domain expertise.
- Operational savvy and strong analytical skills.
- Solid negotiation and facilitation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and a project scheduling software tool (MS Project preferred).
- Fluency in English.
- Experience interfacing and building relationships with senior client executives at the C-level.
- Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects.
- Experience translating technology into business terms and integrating technology into the business environment, including the development and tracking of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Experience working in international markets.
- Experience working in a matrix organization and leading virtual distributed teams.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25%.
