How can you make an impact?

The Senior Director of Higher Ed (HE) Program Management & Operations leads and drives cross-functional programs and partnerships throughout the organization to improve the quality of our products and efficiency/scalability of our operations. They play a critical role in defining, delivering, and evolving platform team operational practices - including strategic planning, budgeting/tracking, agile practices, and internal processes. Their primary focus is to ensure teams, tools, and processes are streamlined, efficient, and scalable for long-term growth. In addition, they lead the software program management practice within HE, partnering with program management across DPG and HE to establish best practices for planning, tracking and delivering high-quality software that may involve multiple teams and dependencies.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. This position will require up to 25% domestic travel.

What you will be doing:

  • Manages daily operations of Platform organization, including driving cross-functional partnerships and inter-team collaboration to improve the quality and efficiency/scalability of strategy and development operations, also leads/oversees tech-enabled projects and programs.
  • Overseeing the development and execution of processes, analyzing internal workflows, improving them, and tracking/reporting financial and other impacts of the changes made, providing visibility into status risk and issues for all levels of leadership.
  • Establishing, refining, and/or leading internal processes to comply with MH Legal, Privacy, and Finance; performing business process redesign and change management.
  • Partnering with Finance regarding headcount planning, roster management, and resource shifts. Establishing our process for contracts management and supporting development of strategic software partnerships for HE.
  • Developing and managing regular review of projects/programs and progress against goals and establishing practices and metrics for team and project success, holding teams accountable to those practices and metrics.
  • Ensuring the continued development and evolution of the PDLC and agile methodologies, performance and health of all agile teams.

You should apply if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree REQUIRED; MBA preferred; also strongly preferred Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.
  • REQUIRED: 10+ years in Agile product development, product ownership, business operations, program management, or related operations role at a high-growth technology company.
  • 5+ years minimum of proven ability to build and lead strong teams. Excellent leadership skills: comfortable working in ambiguity and demonstrated ability to both influence and develop strong partnerships at all levels.
  • Experience in leading complex operational issues and strategy implementation, managing stakeholders, and balancing competing priorities along with executive status reporting and facilitating steering committee meetings.
  • Strong communicator who knows how to translate analysis into business insights and objectives, and communicate objectives, plans, status and results clearly.
  • Solutions-oriented, with a track record of identifying and implementing creative solutions and large-scale strategic initiatives.

The pay range for this position is between $110,000 - $180,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
