Join Our Team as a Senior Compensation Analyst!

Are you passionate about Total Rewards? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our compensation function. As a Senior Compensation Analyst, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. The Senior Compensation Analyst, as part of the Global Total Rewards team, will be responsible for supporting the research, design, implementation, evaluation, and administration of global compensation programs, including broad-based and incentive compensation. The role involves close collaboration with HR Business Partners, business leaders, and international teams to provide analytical support and guidance on compensation-related projects and requests. The ideal candidate should be data-driven, detail-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced dynamic environment, with the ability to take action and drive compensation decisions forward.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Compensation Processes:

  • Execute compensation reviews, salary benchmarking, and market analysis
  • Evaluate and benchmark positions globally in alignment with S&C's career framework and Work Elements program to ensure compliance and internal equity is maintained while remaining externally competitive
  • Ensure the integrity and consistency of compensation data across the organization
  • Take the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement within compensation processes and programs, proposing and implementing solutions
  • Support the annual compensation planning cycles, including data gathering, reporting, testing, and internal communications
  • Prepare survey submissions and gather data from market-based compensation surveys; experienced user of spreadsheets and data analysis techniques to assess results and make recommendations based on market trends

Primary Point of Contact for HR Partners:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HR partners, business leaders, and managers regarding compensation-related questions, processes, and recommendations pertaining to assigned groups
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the implementation and administration of wage structures, incentives, and rewards programs in alignment with organizational goals and compensation philosophy
  • Collaborate with leadership and HR teams to develop and implement innovative, data-backed compensation strategies and solutions
  • Help push forward key compensation recommendations by providing clear analysis and context to assist in decision-making

Data-driven Decision Making:

  • Proactively gather, analyze, and interpret compensation data to support recommendations and decisions
  • Present clear, actionable recommendations based on data analysis to support business and HR objectives.
  • Provide guidance and expertise on federal, state, and local regulatory compliance and best practices related to compensation

Effective Communication and Stakeholder Management:

  • Effectively manage multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Demonstrate flexibility in adjusting priorities and deliverables based on changing business needs or timelines
  • Communicate openly and transparently with stakeholders when adjustments to expectations or timelines are necessary
  • Develop clear communication on compensation plans to business leaders, HR partners, and team members
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and maintain a high level of trust by consistently delivering on commitments and providing high-quality work

Compliance:

  • Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.

What you'll Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • 5+ years related experience in a compensation role with full-cycle compensation experience
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft 365 Business Suite (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook), including advanced-level Excel skills such as pivot tables, nested formulas, and simple macros
  • Experience working with HRIS teams to implement programs/enhancements and/or pull data from the system
  • Ability to partner with survey vendors to complete survey submissions and analyze results.
  • Fundamental understanding of internal equity and pay equity.
  • Ability to act as a consultant to the business, working with HRBPs and business leaders to understand their compensation needs and challenges and make recommendations on program enhancements to better serve those needed.

  • Experience with regression analysis
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
