*Description*
We are seeking an Information Security Engineer to work with lines of business and technology teams to ensure Information Security Baselines are comprehensive, complete, and accurate, ensuring a secure configuration for the applications used by our client. The ideal candidate will have many years of experience working across multiple technology disciplines including Operating Systems, Databases, Networking devices, etc., and possess an innate curiosity for how things work and a desire to learn new technologies quickly and frequently. This is a governance role. The candidate will oversee that baselines meet certain criteria and align with industry best practices, etc, but they will not be the one to 'create' the baseline. They do however need to possess a high technical acumen to be able to explain to other technologists why a given parameter is required from a technical security perspective, because this role may have to credibly challenge a given security parameter. Participate in security consulting on small projects for internal clients to ensure uniformity with corporate information, security policy, and standards. Track or remediate vulnerabilities and security issues. Review and correlate security logs. Assist with the design, documentation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security solutions related to networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication and directory services, email, internet, applications, and endpoint security. Provide technical support for security related issues. Utilize industry leading security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity. Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals. Interface with more experienced technologists. Required Qualifications: 2+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* This position is designed to assure industry best practices and standards are accounted for alongside with documenting a comprehensive set of parameters that are used to secure applications and systems at our client *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $41.09 - $41.09/hr.
