Environmental Sustainability Manager

This position is responsible for working closely with the Chief Sustainability Officer, Environmental Impact Council, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Indirect Procurement, Supplier Management, and other key business teams in driving, coordinating, and operationalizing our science-based targets, climate risks and opportunities, along with other environmental efforts. This position will be a key leader in continuing to enhance and implement strategies to minimize our environmental impact while meeting evolving global regulatory rules.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Advance environmental sustainability strategies and plans, particularly that align with the company's overall goals and objectives such as science-based targets and climate and health
  • Serve as the primary environment sustainability liaison within the company as well to outside entities including other jurisdictions, government agencies, legislative bodies, contractors, and non-governmental partnerships.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in sustainability and make recommendations for improvements with particular focus on trends and changes in climate science, renewable energy, sustainable sourcing, waste management, and other focus areas, including regulatory environment that can help inform the organization's sustainability and mitigation strategies
  • Manage programs to drive changes across the business, track progress, and report upon progress against goals.
  • Engage with Corporate Communications to develop internal and external material and presentations to support client inquiries and product development teams.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Expertise in climate reporting frameworks, regulations and policies is desired.
  • General knowledge in environmental health sciences
  • Knowledge in technology solutions managing environment and climate data
  • General knowledge in supply chain management, energy efficiency, and connections to environmental sustainability

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Typically 8 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent preferred. May hold two or more industry certifications.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.

The posted range for this position is $114,228 to $157,064 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.

This position is eligible for a bonus not reflected in the posted range.
