About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated UX Researcher to join our team and help drive user-centered insights that shape the future of our content experiences. As a publicly traded company at the forefront of digital content creation and distribution, we are committed to delivering engaging and intuitive experiences to millions of users worldwide. In this role, you will leverage qualitative research methods to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points, influencing product and design decisions across our platforms.

The day to day:
  • Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research studies, including in-depth interviews, ethnographic research, diary studies, and usability testing.

  • Collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, engineers and data analysts to create user centered solutions and enhance the overall user experience

  • Develop research plans that create user centered solutions and enhance the overall user experience that align with business goals and product roadmaps.

  • Synthesize findings from multiple research sources (user studies, surveys, behavioral data) to create compelling narratives about user needs and experiences.

  • Create user personas, journey maps and other deliverables to communicate research findings

  • Present research findings to stakeholders in a clear and impactful way, advocating for the user in product development discussions.

  • Work cross-functionally to establish best practices for UX research and continuously refine methodologies.

  • Maintain a user research repository to track insights and trends over time.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging research methods, and advancements in user experience best practices.

What You'll Bring to the Role:
  • 3+ years of experience in UX research, with a strong emphasis on qualitative methods.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field.

  • Hands-on experience conducting usability tests, interviews, field studies, and other qualitative research methods.

  • Strong storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex findings into actionable insights.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, ideally within the content, media, or technology industry.

  • Familiarity with research tools such as UserTesting, dscout, Lookback, Qualtrics, or similar platforms.

  • Ability to analyze qualitative data and collaborate with quantitative researchers to generate holistic user insights.

  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and adjusting research approaches based on evolving business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience conducting research on digital content platforms (e.g., streaming, publishing, social media).

  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices and inclusive design principles.

  • Understanding of behavioral analytics and how to complement qualitative research with quantitative data.

  • Experience working with international audiences and conducting global research studies.

The compensation package offered may vary depending on employment experience, skills, and knowledge. You may also be eligible for our generous benefits package including health, wellness and financial benefits. Compensation ranges for candidates in locations outside of the location(s) below may differ based on the cost of labor, market, and additional factors.

The pay range for this position is below:

* 125,000 - 145,000 per year in New Jersey
* 125,000 - 145,000 per year in New York

Note: Commission-eligible roles are expressed as on-target earnings (base and commission). Non-commission roles are expressed as base salary only but are also eligible for annual incentives.
