About the role:
This is an expert-level individual contributor role, ideal for a highly experienced professional with extensive knowledge in the financial and retirement industries. You will act independently to resolve highly complex problems and are regarded as a leader and expert in your field. You may also coordinate and guide the work of others. About the team:

FIS' Omni system helps support all pension administration requirements, as well as pension equity plans, non- qualified plans, and other hybrid plans.

General Duties & Responsibilities

  • Scope & Objectives:Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
  • Problem Solving:Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems, considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operation time, and desired results.
  • Requirements Analysis:Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and translate them into proper system requirement specifications.
  • Influence & Decision Making:Influence business partners and service providers regarding priorities, hardware/software selection, and vendor selection.
  • Market & Trend Analysis:Analyze marketplace, industry, company, technology trends, and best practices, including vendor products and services.
  • Strategy & Documentation:Identify and document business strategies, objectives, and drivers.
  • Process Improvement:Analyze and document business processes and metrics, identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Cost-Benefit Analysis:Calculate and estimate costs and benefits of alternative actions or solutions to establish their viability/ROI.
  • Process Re-engineering:Re-engineer processes to deliver greater effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Systems Interaction:Identify and document how applications and systems interact to support business processes.
  • Impact Assessment:Assess, apply, and project the impact of system changes on users and internal/external clients or stakeholders.
  • System Development:Use knowledge of systems and industry requirements to develop or modify complex information systems.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance:Write test plans and test cases to ensure changes meet client needs and maintain application integrity. Conduct various tests (system, integration, readiness, acceptance) to ensure changes are correct.
  • Training:Train internal employees or external clients on changes, new systems, or new procedures. Conduct one-on-one or classroom training as needed.
  • Mentorship:Mentor, guide, advise, and/or check the work of less experienced business systems analysts.
  • Technology Application:Consider business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
  • Other Duties:Perform other related duties as assigned.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Industry Experience:Extensive experience in the financial industry, with a strong preference for the retirement industry.
  • Retirement Plan Recordkeeping:Proven experience with retirement plan recordkeeping, specifically with FIS Omni DC.
  • Domain Expertise: In trading, pricing, dividends, trust accounting/reporting, and/or reconciliation (cash and asset).
  • Problem Solving:A self-starter who loves solving problems and can function and drive results independently.
  • Technical Skills:Strong technical skills, including proficiency in SQL. Additional consideration given for programming, AWS, and other technical exposure/experience.
  • Communication Skills:Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong Data Analysis: Expert with Microsoft Excel.
  • Fast Learner, Thrives on Growth

Added bonus if you have:

  • Strong experience in Retirement recordkeeping or related.
  • Technical Skills: Additional consideration given for programming, AWS, and other technical exposure/experience.
  • Expertise in multiple domains Trading, pricing, dividends, money-in, trust accounting/reporting, reconciliation (cash and asset) - the more the better.
