Description
Job purpose Responsible for delivering parts to customers as required. Assist parts and warehouse personnel with pulling and packaging parts for delivery. Receiving stock orders, year-end inventory and providing quotes to customers. Duties and responsibilities
- Take customer orders or quotes by phone, fax, email and or walk in
- Analyze orders for accuracy, cross reference by serial number, and enter data into system
- Quote overhauls and spares as required
- Receive stock orders into the system
- Assist in updating files, books and customer information
- Deliver orders to customer locations on daily basis
- Pull warehouse orders as needed for daily deliveries
- Process core returns to WPI vendors
- Process parts returns to WPI vendors
- Assist warehouse in daily orders for will call and branch transfers
- Assist warehouse in checking in and stocking incoming stock orders
- Promote good welfare among the company and its divisions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must have 3 years of previous experience as a Truck Driver
- GED or High School Diploma
- Some mechanical background or knowledge preferred
- Must be able to obtain a DOT Certification
- Current Class C driver's license
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must meet goals and objectives set forth by the company
- Must conform to policies and procedures set forth by the company
- Must have a current driver's license and acceptable driving record per WPI insurance company standards
- Must have experience with Microsoft Windows (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to bend and twist several times a day
- Must have the ability to work flexible hours, days and weekends (as necessary)
- Must be dependable and work independent
- Must maintain good client relations
- Must maintain a professional appearance
- Must promote and maintain a Safe and clean environment
- Must have the ability to travel and stay overnight
- Must have the ability to operate a forklift
- Must have the ability to effectively operate a company truck
- Must protect the company assets and interest
