Utilities Distribution and Energy Management Intern

Job Duties:

Electrical Distribution:

  • Through accompanied and unaccompanied site visits, collect data on electrical service entrance equipment and update the asset spreadsheet.
  • Support the Maple Ave Substation outdoor switchyard equipment testing project.
  • Support medium voltage capital projects as assigned.

Energy Management:

  • Update energy conservation database
  • Conduct quality control on new data points integrated into Cornell's Fault Detection and Diagnostics system, SkySpark. Data sources include building HVAC data and utility metering data.
  • Develop a heat recovery performance tracking system and review system performance to identify anomalies.

Weekly Hours: 40 hrs/week

Duration: June 2nd - August 8th
